Home / Glossary & FAQ / Co-Working
Against contrary belief, remote work is not the same as "working from home". Instead, it's giving people the freedom to work from anywhere, not a designated office, and therefore allows you to hire across the globe.
Since a lot of people do not enjoy working from home (amongst other reasons), the concept of co-working and co-working spaces came up. A co-working space is a shared office, often allowing people to work from shared or permanent desks. Other than private office spaces, co-working spaces often also take care of amenities, peripherals and events.
As remote work grows, so will co-working. Working from home is sometimes seen as unproductive, especially if no designated working space can be provided, or if there are other members – or kids – of the household present.
