About Whereby
Whereby (formerly appear.in) attracted new users early with their incredibly smooth setup experience: Sign up, and create a room, send (named!) invite links to anyone wanting to join. Joining does not require any signup or download. A meeting is set up in a few seconds, for free.
The tool is perfect and free for quick, casual meetings (up to 4 participants). Recording, as well as bigger meetings require a paid account, making it a little less attractive than other competitors. Still a top-notch product for the use cases mentioned above though!
